Arthur E. Hall papers, 1950-1990, (bulk 1950-1979).

Arthur E. Hall's papers include correspondence, original compositions, arrangements, settings, and harmonizations, as well as audio recordings of his performances. The original composition material includes some of Hall's music manuscripts of compositions, arrangements, settings and harmonizations that reflect his prolific composing skills. Some of the works are arranged alphabetically; other work is separated into Orchestra and parts. There are also scores for quartets and quintets.

Arthur E. Hall (1901-1978), one time Chairman of Rice's Shepherd School of Music (1953-1973), is known as a composer of orchestral, choral and chamber ensemble music. He was educated at Yale University and studied at Juilliard, Colorado College and was awarded an M.M. from Baylor University in 1949.
